Hello dear reader, and welcome to the monthly Numerology forecast!
If you don’t know me yet, let me introduce myself — my name is DaisyJane, I’m 26, and I live in the beautiful city of Seattle, WA. I’ve been studying the mystical language of numerology for over a year and my Life Path is 11/2 (if you don’t know what that means, don’t worry! We’ll get into it.)
If you are already comfortable with the basics of numerology, feel free to jump right on down to November’s insights (it’ll be in big bold letters when you scroll down)! For anyone who is unfamiliar with numerology, here is a bit of a crash course:
Numerology is an ancient practice of reading the energetic imprints of numbers. Similar to how astrology maps the position and energies of the stars and planets, numerology explores the frequencies and positioning of numbers related to your birth (your personal chart) and the years and months you’ll live through.
So, how does it work?
Most numbers are derived from adding up all the single digits in a given set of numbers, often from a date, until you arrive at a final single digit.
Let’s practice by finding your Life Path number (for those versed in astrology, this is similar to your sun sign.)
Add up all the single digits in your birthdate until you get to a single digit — unless it’s a double-digit, like 11, 22, or 33.
Example: if your birthdate is 12/22/2001, you would calculate the following:
1+2+2+2+2+0+0+1 = 10
1+0 = 1
Example: if your birthdate is 2/12/1999, you would calculate the following:
2+1+2+1+9+9+9 = 33
Here, the first person has a Life Path of 1 and the second person has a Life Path of 33. Each digit has a unique expression and characteristics that tell a story when we put it into context.
In addition to the nuances of our personal charts, we are all influenced by the overarching energies and themes that are present in the world at large - referred to as the collective.
Each calendar year comes with a number known as the Collective Year. The energy of the year’s number will be present and affect all of us, both individually and on the global stage, to varying degrees.
This year, 2024, is an 8-year (2+0+2+4=8), which means the world is experiencing heightened 8 energy. The 8 is all about abundance, manifestation, wealth, success, and balance between the spiritual and material worlds - and also lack thereof, so you may be experiencing ease or difficulties in these areas.
Each month has a number. This is calculated by adding the calendar month to the Collective Year number. So, for this year of 2024, to find October’s Collective number, you would add 10 (as it’s the 10th calendar month) + 8 (Collective Year), which pairs down to 9 (1+0+8).
The energy of this number, in the context of the collective, is the purpose of today’s forecast.

December as a 2 month:
The 2 energy this month, in our 8 collective year, is opening up the opportunity to dive deep into our relationships, in every sense. The 2 is a number of the divine feminine, the softer Yin energy that balances the aggressive Yang energy of the 1. It asks us to put ourselves in others’ shoes and approach with compassion, rather than judgement. In this time of great change, our greatest strength lies in our relationships and communities. The energy of the 8 bolsters any goal, as it is all about manifestation and abundance, so paired with the 2 it offers a little extra support in community building efforts. However, the 9 energy of 2025 is also becoming more and more present, which could be helping us release relationships that no longer serve us, or to release certain patterns and ways of relating that are creating tension and stress within our relationships. Part of this is setting and negotiating boundaries.
In the grand scheme of our world right now, especially here in the States, trying to have compassion for people with different beliefs can seem a daunting, and even impossible,
prospect. And understandably so - tensions are high, and consequences are real. This month, set the boundaries you need to for your own personal sanity and safety. Stand with confidence in your beliefs, but stay humble. Always leave room to allow for yourself to change with new information, and stay curious - if you find yourself in a conversation with someone who has opposing views, maybe rather than trying to change their opinion (because you probably won’t anyways), ask them questions. Try to get to the bottom of why they have that belief. You might find that the very act of being truly heard and listened to allows the other person to soften and reveal a deeper truth, for which the original idea was a defense mechanism. And they might even be more willing to look at you with the same curiosity and allowance. The only way out is through, and we will always be more alike than we are different.
Astrology Connections:
2 months are all about relationships and communication, and this month both Mercury and Mars are going retrograde.
Mars rules assertiveness, conflict, and anger, while Mercury rules communication and technology. When these planets go retrograde, it can stir up issues around those themes.
As you navigate your relationships this month, including romantic and business partnerships, friendships, and your relationship with your community at large, remember this: you can’t control the wind but you can adjust your sails. You are in control of your response to any given situation. If you find yourself feeling extra easy to anger, or as if you are being misunderstood even though you’re trying to be clear, take a deep breath and refocus so that it’s you and the other person against the problem, not against each other. Patience and compassion will be your best friend, even though they might feel more frustrating to access than usual. We WILL make it through the sticky bits and our relationships will come out so much stronger in the end, if we can remember that we are *all in this together* (must be read out loud in High School Musical voice).
Show yourself and your loved ones compassion and respect, and give wiggle room for communication mistakes and short tempers - while also remembering to not take anyone’s shit! Even if someone is angry, it shouldn’t be directed at you, because you deserve to be treated better than that! (Revisiting the above quote of it is you and them against the problem). And if this is something you struggle with, I hereby give you FULL PERMISSION to stand up for yourself and hold your boundaries. Say, “hey, I hear you’re upset right now, and would like to talk it out together, but I will not be your punching bag in the process.”
Tarot Connections:
Cards: The High Priestess, Justice
The High Priestess, appropriately, is the second card in the Major Arcana. She is associated with the astrological sign of Cancer, and the moon. The High Priestess represents the divine feminine, Yin energy, the subconscious mind and intuition, and the universal truth of duality. There are two sides to every coin - and one of those sides is not visible to the naked eye unless one goes to the trouble of revealing it, of picking it up and putting it in the light. The fact that one side is obscured makes its existence no less true.
The High Priestess sees that which is hidden, and is the keeper of the great mysteries. She represents the development of consciousness to include the concept of the other. This makes things a bit more complicated than they were with the 1, because co-existence and compromise are rarely ever easy. But life would not exist without the other side of the coin, and our connections to others and to the world around us are what makes life worth living. She can be harsh, but also compassionate. Her 2, in Roman numerals, is also an 11 - a portal of connection to the divine, and to each other. As above, so below; as within, so without.
And fittingly, the other card that I relate to the 2 is the 11th card (which also adds to 2) in the Major Arcana. Justice is all about balancing the scales. It is associated with the astrological sign of Libra, ruled by Venus (divine feminine galore here) which also carries the themes of justice, balance, and truth. Actions have consequences, and when the pendulum swings one way it must also swing the other. But justice is not always harsh. It can be loving, and can bring about great healing and change.
Main takeaways:
Set your boundaries, but stay open minded and approach conflict in relationships with compassion and patience!
